Charlie was raised on a sheep and wheat property in Central West NSW and completed a BEc/LLB at UNE, Armidale, NSW in 1997. Charlie joined Morgan Buckley from Clayton Utz in Perth in August 2004 and was appointed a partner of Morgan Buckley in October 2005. He continues as a partner of Cridlands MB in the Alice Springs office.
Charlie has a wealth of experience in advising on all aspects of commercial law including structuring and stamp duty advice, funding of projects, high level contract drafting, corporate governance, statutory licence applications and undertaking complex due diligence.
Charlie has broad experience in preparing all contracts commonly used in commercial transactions in the Northern Territory including sale and purchase agreements, major works contracts, development agreements, business succession agreements, supply and service agreements, all funding related agreements, lease and management agreements, option agreements, and joint venture, shareholder and partnership agreements.
Charlie has particular expertise in providing advice to and undertaking transactions for clients involved in:
- the Building Industry;
- the Hospitality Sector;
- Large Shopping Centres;
- Property Development;
- the Pastoral Industry;
- the Resources Sector;
- the Media;
- the Aviation Industry and Airport Management; and
- Negotiations with native title holders.
Charlie is a member of the Law Society of the Northern Territory and has been a member of the Tribunal for the Central Australian Football League since 2005.
