Graeme is the founding partner of Morgan Buckley and commenced his legal career in Adelaide before moving to the Territory in 1982.
Graeme established his own practice in Alice Springs in 1985 and quickly established a strong presence in the Alice Springs community with memberships in Rotary and the Outback Motorcycle Club.
While in Alice Springs, Graeme’s practice had a litigation emphasis and this background has equipped Graeme to provide competent advice in the area of Commercial Disputes.
In 1991, Graeme relocated to the Darwin office of Morgan Buckley as the Commercial Partner and he remains in that position.
He is well regarded as a Senior Commercial Lawyer.

- Graeme served as a Board Member of the NT Museums and Art Gallery Board from 1988 to 1991, the Legal Member of the N.T. Licensing Commission from 1992 to 1995 and held the casual position of the Chairman of the N.T. Agents Licensing Board between the periods 1997 to 2000.
Specific Projects
- Project solicitor advising the NT Government on the sale of its gaming machine interests and involvement.
- As part of a team, provided advice on a range of gaming and licensing issues to the NT Licensing Commission 1998 – 2002.
- General Retainer by NT Hotels and Hospitality Association 1997-1998 to advise and represent members in relation to matters arising under the Liquor Act.
- With others from our firm, provided assistance to the NT Licensing Commission as Counsel 1998 – 2002.
- In conjunction with Charles Binks and Neville Martin of Minter Ellison Adelaide, overseeing investigation in relation to the structure, control and further developments of NT TAB.
- Project Solicitor for Redgum subdivision involving a contentious rezone and subdivide development of 44 000m parcel in Alice Springs (1996 – 1997).
- Project Solicitor for Stephens Road. Development again involving contentious rezoning subdivision and development approvals.
